HOMEBUYER EDUCATION

Sponsored by Citizens Bank

Am I ready to buy a home? How much can I afford? What should I look for in a home? How do I find a lender? Do I qualify for any special grants, loans, and interest rates? How do I avoid the common pitfalls in home buying?

If you have any of these questions, or others, consider taking our free, 8-hour Home Buyer Education class. The class meets frequently and is open to everyone. In four class sessions, you’ll learn to:

Search for and evaluate homes

Work with realtors, lenders, and other professionals

Finance the purchase and find creative loan products

Repair damaged credit and evaluate credit worthiness

Close on a purchase, complete repairs, and insure your investment

We charge a small fee to cover the cost of materials and room rental. Each participant receives a home-buying manual.

This class is required for potential home buyers who want to access special programs that provide down payment assistance.
