Creating safe, affordable housing and healthy communities

NEIGHBORWORKS® NETWORK

Building on more than 25 years of experience, the Neighborhood Reinvestment Program works with residents, government, and business leaders to develop strong partnerships that revitalize America’s urban and rural communities and make housing affordable. These partnership organizations, comprising the NeighborWorks® network, are active in more than 2,000 communities. Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services became a NeighborWorks® member in 1994.

To create the strongest possible community-based organizations, Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation has established chartering standards for every NeighborWorks® member, so businesses and other investors can have confidence that their investments will be sound.

As a NeighborWorks® Network member, we are locally governed. We raise our own operating funds and develop our own operational strategies. We are linked to other NeighborWorks® Network members by a common commitment to NeighborWorks® standards and goals.

NeighborWorks® provides support for our efforts to preserve and rehabilitate existing housing, increase home ownership, and expand the number of affordable rental and mutual housing units. Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation provides loans, grants, training, and technical assistance so we can help to increase home ownership by offering prepurchase counseling, assemble pooled loan funds from local lenders, increase financing options, and market our programs. When there is a need for multi-family and rental properties, Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation helps develop public-private financing, reimbursable acquisitions, and equity grants for rehabilitation.
